Supporting the Kosala Center, and prices of classes.
The Kosala Buddhist Center is a registered non-profit organization. It receiv
es financial support only from local sources; primarily student class fees, donations, and fundraising. The Center is currently able to maintain rent and other general opperating expenses, and is raising money to support a full-time resident monk or nun in Chapel Hill.
We will work with people of any financial circumstance to pay for classes. Please contact us if you need a scholarship to attend.
The General Program is $10/class, $7/class for students and seniors
The Foundation Program is $35/month, $25 for students and seniors.
Lam Rim Classes are $8, $5 for students and seniors.
Meditation 101 classes are $8, $5 for students and seniors.
The Kosala Center will now offer "Class Passes," a more economical way to attend our various programs:
-General Program (Wednesdays): One month for $25 ($20 for students and seniors). $40/month to attend any Lam Rim or Meditation 101 class in addition to the General Program ($30 for students and seniors).
-Foundation Program (Thursdays) $35/month ($25 for students and seniors). $50/month to attend any class at the Center ($35 for students and seniors).
-Lam Rim and Meditation 101 six-session passes will be available for $35 ($20 for students and seniors). These passes will be valid for three months.
Pujas are free.
We encourage any regular student to consider making a larger monthly financial contribution to support the center:
| Subscriber I All General Program classes plus 10% off day courses for $30.00 per calendar month for 12 months. |
| Subscriber II All General Program and Foundation Program classes plus 10% off day courses for $55.00 per calendar month for 12 months. |
| Supporter I All General Program classes, 1/2 off day courses and 1/3 off empowerments and retreats for $50.00 per calendar month for 12 months. |
Supporter II Benfactor -- Any monthly contribution above $65/month, with the balance as a tax deductible donation. We will provide documentation for the IRS at your request. Please note that Any donation given separate from classroom fees can be considered a tax deductible donation, and documentation will be provided at your request.
