We tend to spend much of our days thinking about the problems we have and how we can solve them. But in reality, the problems of this life are very brief; if we were to die today these problems would be over. The same goes for the things we enjoy and are attached to. This is why we need a bigger picture of ourselves as travelers, through this life and far beyond.
In this morning workshop, Buddhist teacher Ethan Lechner will give teachings based on the book “Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully” by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. This text shows us how coming to terms with our mortality enriches our life and enables us to meet our passing with dignity, confidence, and joy. In this morning meditation workshop, we will learn how to live a pure, liberating lifestyle in which every moment is meaningful.
This morning meditation workshop will consist of two sessions with a 30-minute break in-between. Each session will include a guided meditation and a talk. Snacks, tea, and coffee will be provided during the break.
No previous meditation experience required. Everyone is welcome!
You don’t need to pre-register for this workshop. Just come up about 15 minutes before the start of class so you can get paid up and settled in. You can pay by cash, check, or credit card .
