Medicine Buddha embodies the healing energy of all Buddhas. His function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness by bestowing blessings and inspiration upon us, ultimately giving us the ability to effortlessly benefit all living beings. It is said that the power of this practice becomes greater as confusion and conflict in this world increase, so this practice is especially relevant now.
The empowerment is a blessing ceremony and guided meditation that gives us a special connection to Medicine Buddha and enables us to engage in the practice of Medicine Buddha Sadhana. Receiving an empowerment is a transformative experience that fills us with inspiring energy.
This is an advanced practice, but no one will be kept out. If you feel that this is right for you, then you are welcome to join us. It is a lovely ceremony, and there are meditations and teachings. It is totally up to you whether you actually go through the actions of receiving the empowerment during the ceremony if you do join us.
